Yiddish is a language that is hardly spoken in Europe anymore, yet it is very accessible to German speakers. Kateryna Ostrovska inherited the last bits of this unique culture from her family.
During Perestroika (which meant a cultural renaissance for many peoples of the former Soviet Union), she was able to hear Yiddish songs directly from the last culture bearers in Kyiv as a teenager and would like to share this knowledge with you in the workshop.
