The Holiday Spectacular at the F*MZ! From 3–7 August 2026
During the Hamburg summer holidays, our holiday programme for girls and FLINTA* people will once again take place from 3–7 August 2026 at the Frauen*musikzentrum (f*mz) in Ottensen.
The workshops run daily from 10 am to 4 pm and are open to girls and FLINTA* people aged between 12 and 18; they are free of charge. Food and drinks will be provided:
On 7 August, from 5 pm, there will be a closing event for all parents and friends (all genders), where the kids will show what they’ve been working on during the week.

Hip Hop & Rap Workshop

The holiday workshop ‘Grrrlz Hip & Rap with LILA SOVIA’ is aimed at girls* aged 10–18 who want to write their own lyrics, experiment with beats and raise their voices on stage. Together with the non-binary rap artist LILA SOVIA, the children and young people taking part will discover the basics of hip-hop and rap – from writing their first lines and practising flow to recording and performing. The focus is on creatively exploring themes from their everyday lives: friendship, identity, school, family or their neighbourhood. It’s not about perfection, but about building the courage to tell their own stories out loud and gaining confidence in their own voices. At the end of the workshop week, the girls* will present their work in an open session, receiving recognition for their efforts.
Grrr*lz Seeing Sounds – Digital Booklet
Tutor: Hanadi
In the summer holiday workshop ‘Grrrlz Seeing Sounds – Creating a Digital Booklet with Hanadi’, girls* aged 10–18 develop their first visual ideas for their music. Together with the artist Hanadi, they translate moods, lyrics and beats into images, collages and layouts. This process results in cover designs, portraits and booklet pages, which form the basis for a collaborative digital publication. The workshop offers a safe space in which participants can unleash their creativity and develop design skills.
