Useful theories for musical practice – a walk through the jungle of Gema&Co with Sandra Kötterheinrich

Loading Events

Wrote the first song! And now? Where can I protect it, e.g. from someone discovering it on YouTube and using it for themselves? All theory is gray, but not boring!

In this workshop, I want to give you some information that is difficult to obtain in its complexity.

What is the difference between composition and recording? What does GEMA do? What does GVL do? Is it worth it for me? How does a woman* get the money from the collecting societies? Which ones make sense? How do I license music for websites, YouTube, TicToc etc.? Do I need a publishing deal? Etc. pp….

As I also work a lot with families, I will try to package this dry information in a way that makes it fun and makes it stick. Join in, ask questions, bring specific interests – you decide what you need!
