DJ TAĪĪZ is a mul.talented Afghan ar.st, born in Hamburg in the 1980s to an ar.s.c family.
She is primarily known for her work as a DJ. Her diverse musical upbringing exposed her to a wide range of genres, par.cularly South Asian/Afghan music, Hip Hop, R&B, and more.
DJ TAĪĪZ ist eine vielseitig begabte afghanische Künstlerin, die in den 1980er Jahren in Hamburg in einer Künstlerfamilie geboren wurde.
Sie ist vor allem für ihre Arbeit als DJ bekannt. Ihre vielseitige musikalische Erziehung brachte sie mit einer Vielzahl von Genres in Berührung, vor allem mit südasiatischer/afghanischer Musik, Hip Hop, R&B und mehr.

with a variety of genres such as Hip Hop, Baile Funk, Afrobeat, Afghan Beats, Desi/Bollywood, and more, making her sets truly unique.
Passionate about integra.ng Afghan music into the global music scene, DJ TAĪĪZ aims to showcase its beauty and diversity while striving to normalize Afghan (female) representa.on in the DJ scene.
As a radio host and curator, she highlights Afghan ar.sts through events like Afghanistan’s Hidden Music Treasures and her podcast Soundspuren on Byte FM.
In October 2023, she launched the SWANA+ event Deejaystān, where SWANA music is fused with a variety of genres, from Hip Hop and Baile Funk to Afrobeat. It was one of the first SWANA+ events in Hamburg.
In 2024, she co-founded Anaristan Saaz, a record label dedicated to preserving and sharing Afghan music. DJ TAĪĪZ is not only a trailblazer in the industry but also the first Afghan woman to co-own a record label.
