\ud83c\udf1f<\/span> Vision & Objectives<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

QOIR is a <\/span>queerfeminist, inclusive choir for FLINTA<\/span> (women, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people). Our aim is to create a <\/span>protected, empowering space<\/span> where the focus is on singing together and musical development – free from pressure to perform and rigid standards. <\/span>free from pressure to perform and rigid standards<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfa4 <\/span>QOIR is more than a choir – it’s your vocal safe space.<\/span> Here we explore our voices, experience community and question patriarchal gender structures. Our approach is <\/span>open, flexible and geared to the needs of the participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udc9c<\/span> Values & attitude<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2705 <\/span>Queerfeminist & intersectional<\/span><\/strong>We<\/strong> think feminism not only from a cis-female perspective, but also recognize that gender, sexuality, origin, disability <\/span>gender, sexuality, origin, disability, class and many other factors shape our experiences.<\/span> Our feminism is in solidarity with all those who are affected by multiple discrimination.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2705 <\/span>Inclusive & accessible<\/span><\/strong>QOIR is open to FLINTA regardless of previous musical experience.<\/strong> We strive to keep access as low-threshold as possible. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2705 <\/span>Collective & solidarity<\/span><\/strong>Community is paramount–<\/strong> we shape QOIR together and look out for each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2705 <\/span>No pressure, just vibes<\/span><\/strong>The choir should be fun!<\/strong> We sing in a way that is fun instead of expecting perfection. <\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udccd <\/span>Venue:<\/span> Women*s Music Center Ottensen<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\uddd3\ufe0f <\/span>Meetings:<\/span> 1-2 times a month on Thursdays, 18:30-20:30 (if FemJam takes place at the same time, only until 20:00)<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83e\udd32 <\/span>Solo places:<\/span> In each session there are <\/span>2 donation-free solo places<\/span> for everyone who needs them – <\/span>with no obligation to explain, no questions asked, <\/span>just mention it in your registration email.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfb6<\/span> Musical approach<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We sing different genres – from <\/span>empowering songs<\/span> to <\/span>queer anthems<\/span> to <\/span>experimental arrangements<\/span>. The musical programme also depends on the wishes and possibilities of the participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf31<\/span> Further development & community<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

QOIR grows with the people who are part of it. It’s not about singing for an audience, but for ourselves – to get to know our voices, to feel more confident, to sound together. <\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udc9c Perhaps QOIR will give you a sense of belonging.<\/span><\/p>\n
