SUMMARY:DJing basics - intensive workshop for beginners with Esshar
DESCRIPTION:Have you always wanted to learn how to DJ\, but don’t know where to start? In this two-day intensive workshop (5 hours each)\, you will learn the basics of digital DJing and gain a comprehensive insight into the technology\, theory and practice.\nRegistration only possible on the respective registration day!\n\nWhat you can expect:\n\n\n\nWhat is DJing? Introduction to the basics and tasks of DJs.\n\n\nSound carriers & formats: MP3\, WAV\, AIFF\, FLAC – what’s behind them?\n\n\nFind and organize music: Tips on online stores and USB formatting.\n\n\nDJ software: Introduction to Rekordbox and Traktor.\n\n\nTechnical DJ basics: beatmatching\, transitions\, counting bars\, BPM & cue.\n\n\nSound engineering basics: volume level\, signal flow\, gain\, equalizer (EQ)\, cable types and the importance of monitors.\n\n\nDevices and setups: Pioneer multi-player\, mixer\, laptop\, controller – functions and application.\n\n\nPractical part: Setting up a DJ setup together and trying it out on your own.\n\n\nTechnology recommendations: What’s worth getting started with?\n\n\n  \nYou will have the opportunity to try out what you have learned at several stations in a relaxed atmosphere and gain your own initial experience. \nAll you need to bring is curiosity\, a love of music and a self-identification with the term FLINTA* (women\, lesbians\, inter-\, non-binary\, trans and agender people). \nThe number of participants is limited to a maximum of 7 people per workshop in order to create a personal and pleasant learning atmosphere. The allocation of places in the workshop will be drawn by lot.
