The Knust hosts the annual concert with Lia Şahin with ever-changing artists.

This time there is a special cooperation with f*mz (workshops on 07.03 in Ottensen) and DJ acts: Nutz an den Cutz and Tutku Kaplan

The feminist day of struggle is not only about celebrating struggles that have already been won, but also about making local spaces visible.

For this reason, Lia Şahin and f*mz are organizing a whole weekend of workshops and a concert at the Knust.

DJ workshop with Tutku Kaplan (fully booked)

Have you always wanted to know how to DJ, what technology DJs use in clubs or what equipment is suitable for you to get started in the art of DJing?

In this workshop, you will discover a variety of DJ setups, music formats and software with Tutku. Explore the variety of music formats, from classic vinyl sounds to modern formats such as MP3, WAV and FLAC.

Find out which format is perfect for your individual gigs. Learn the differences and functions of different DJ software such as Serato, Traktor, Recordbox and more. Import tracks, create playlists effortlessly and link everything smoothly to your DJ software. Learn the differences between various DJ equipment, mixing consoles, turntables, controllers and high-quality headphones. Find out which equipment is best suited for different types of gigs and which is suitable for you to get started in the art of DJing. Gain beatmatching skills by perfectly matching speed and rhythm for seamless transitions between songs. Learn how to determine BPM, synchronize songs perfectly, crossfade transitions, cut-ins and cut-outs to smoothly merge songs and seamlessly connect the music. Discover a variety of mixing techniques such as EQing, filtering and panning to refine and enhance the sound of your songs. Hey, I’m LIZZN, rapper, singer, musician and I’ll show you how to turn your thoughts and topics into rap lyrics! Whether you’ve written before or are completely new to it, it’s all about creativity, beats and the fun of writing.

Together we will learn how to play with rhyme structures and beats, how to process your topics and turn them into something unique. Whether you write your lyrics alone or we develop a song as a group.

What you can expect:

  • Inspiration and creative exercises to get you started
  • Rhyming techniques and tips for good lines
  • Writing to beats and first attempts at rhythm
  • Space to try out your ideas and express yourself

Workshop with Anita ( Hip Hop Dance)

Whether you are just starting out or already have experience – you are welcome in this workshop
! The main thing here is to have fun together, feel the energy
of hip-hop and have a good time together.
We will work on a choreography suitable for all levels in the 2 hours.
Please bring clean sneakers, comfortable clothes and something to drink so that you
feel comfortable and can really get going.
