Queer As Punk – by the Hamburg International Queer Film Festival

From October 14 to October 19, the Hamburg International Queer Film Festival will take place with a fantastic program.

In cooperation with the festival, we are presenting the film “Queer as Punk.” The film will be shown on October 15 at 8:30 p.m. at Rineuto, or on October 19 at 6 p.m. at Passage-Kino.

An energetic documentary about the queer punk band “Shh…Diam!”: With the necessary dash of humor, the band members talk about the challenges queer people face in Malaysia. QUEER AS PUNK is a powerful report by director Yihwen Chen about self-assertion, solidarity, and resistance in a country that threatens queer identities and is characterized by increasing state repression.
