Finna is a queer-feminist rapper on the Hamburg indie label Audiolith and only released her single “Overscheiß” last year on the subject of fat shaming, body positivity, self-love and acceptance of one’s own body. For her, rap is not only a body-political mouthpiece, but also a modern bridge to young people who often compare themselves to media role models and devalue themselves on the basis of this.

As a rap workshop lecturer, Finna has been active in many projects at various schools, cultural centers, central initial reception facilities for young refugees and in queer youth work throughout Germany since 2015. Finna is interested in what young people have to say to the world, in holding on to dreams and living them out. In just a few days, the young people get to know the medium of rap as a language against discrimination. The young people learn to write their own songs, rap, sing and produce beats for them.
