Bandcoaching & Songwriting mit Tista

Her workshop, “Band Coaching & Songwriting,” focuses on making music together.

Participants develop their own musical ideas, write songs, and work on bringing them to life as a band. Along the way, Tista teaches the basics of songwriting, collaboration within a band, and creative arranging. The focus is on openness, listening to one another, and experimenting together.

Musically, Tista is stylistically versatile. She is particularly influenced by Bongo Flava, a musical style from Tanzania that combines Afrobeat elements with traditional musical influences. She brings this perspective to her workshops, along with her enthusiasm for music and the performing arts.

The workshop is open to anyone who enjoys making music together—regardless of prior experience or musical background.

Afterward, there will be an open-mic event at f*mz starting at 6 p.m. All genders welcome!

Tista (she/her) is from Tanzania and is a musician, songwriter, singer, and bassist. For many years, she has combined her passion for music with her work as a music educator, guiding young people on their musical journey.

In her home country, she volunteers as an assistant coach and tutor at the Kigamboni Community Charity (KCC), where she focuses on talent development. There, she teaches music theory and how to play various instruments, and helps young musicians develop their musical skills and creative potential.
