Kristina Hoffmann, freelance stage designer since 2000, has designed stages at the Düsseldorf and Hanover theaters, the Renaissancetheater and the Theater im Zentrum in Vienna, the Gripstheater in Berlin, among others. In Hamburg at the Kammerspiele, the Kampnagelfabrik, the Schmidt Theater and several other theatres.
Lighting design is an important part of my profession, and in this course I would like to share my knowledge of the technology, design and effect of stage lighting with you.
In addition to the perception of space, stage lighting also directs the audience’s attention and concentration. Good lighting makes the people on stage appear more vivid and light also has an emotional impact. It’s not called “lighting mood” for nothing.
