DESCRIPTION:Her workshop\, “Band Coaching & Songwriting\,” focuses on making music together. \nParticipants develop their own musical ideas\, write songs\, and work on bringing them to life as a band. Throughout the workshop\, Tista teaches the basics of songwriting\, collaboration within a band\, and creative arranging. Openness\, active listening\, and collaborative experimentation are at the forefront of the experience. \nMusically\, Tista has a diverse range of styles. She is particularly influenced by Bongo Flava\, a musical style from Tanzania that combines Afrobeat elements with traditional musical influences. She brings this perspective to her workshops\, along with her enthusiasm for music and the performing arts. \nThe workshop is open to anyone who enjoys making music together—regardless of prior experience or musical background. \nFollowing the event\, an open-stage event will take place at f*mz starting at 6 p.m. All genders welcome! \nTista (she/her) is from Tanzania and is a musician\, songwriter\, singer\, and bassist.
